ABOUT SAFER
The Somos Accelerator for Economic Resilience (SAFER) focuses on providing support and technical assistance to mission-driven organizations that seek to use land and real estate to promote economic development, economic equity and community resilience to benefit under-resourced communities. SAFER is dedicated to tackling the broader issue of wealth inequality in America by assisting organizations to develop tools that will help level the playing field in securing access to capital and the creation of generational wealth.

SAFER believes that under resourced communities, which have long borne the brunt of environmental discrimination in a myriad of ways, have a right to clean air and water and protection from the disastrous impacts of climate change.

SAFER empowers community organizations to fight the disparate effects of climate change and other environmental challenges that have had disproportionate impact on communities historically marginalizedby poverty, racial discrimination, and a lack of political power.
